On the day of your appointment, make sure the area is clean and free of any lotions or oils. Q: What should I do After getting waxed? A: After your appointment, avoid anything that would make you hot and sweaty... hot baths, saunas, and exercise for at least 24 hours. Wear loose clothing to avoid friction on the waxed area. This can cause folliculitis! If you don't know what that is, look it up... it's not fun. Q: How long should my hair be before I get waxed? A: Your hair should be at least ¼ inch long before you get waxed. If the hair is too short, the wax won't be able to grip it properly. Q: Can pregnant women get waxed? A: Yes, pregnant women can get waxed. However, we recommend that you consult your doctor if you are new to waxing and more than 3 months pregnant. Q: Can women get waxed during their menstrual cycle? A: Yes, women can get waxed during their menstrual cycle. However, we recommend that you wear a tampon to avoid any mess. Q: How long does waxing last? A: Waxing can last anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on the individual's hair growth cycle. Does it hurt? Q: Does waxing hurt? A: Waxing can be uncomfortable, but the pain is temporary and usually subsides quickly.
